It will nevertheless use the IPv4 protocol to communicate over the network, however it is still considered to be an IPv6 adapter as it will be sending IPv6 packets encapsulated in IPv4 packets. IPv6 transition technologies, such as ISATAP, 6to4 and IPv6 transition technologies such as ISATAP, 6to4 and Teredo do not work correctly when the computer is a member of a network. You cannot see tunnel adapters for ISATAP, 6to4, or Teredo when you run the ipconfig /all command. I understand that Tunnel Adapter LAN is for encapsulating IPv6 packets with an IPv4 header so that they can be sent across an IPv4 network. Few queries popped up in my mind based on this :- If i do 'ipconfig', Apart from ethernet adapter LAN details, I get a series of statments as below -
